Food for Thought:
I WILL BE WITH YOU...  will you be with ME?
      Genesis 28:15, Matthew 28:20, Hebrews 13:5

The Lord repeatedly states in His Holy Word that He 'WILL BE' with us... and that He 'IS' with us... we can rest assured in that!  But, we as believers in Christ are called to "be with Him" as well.

FORUM QUESTION:
Please share what this (to 'be with Him') means 'to you', and why (or if) you feel it's
necessary to be with Him.  We'd love to hear from you!

9/2/2011 Our God promises to be with us according to:

Genesis 28:15 - "I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land.  I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

Matthew 28:20 - "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Hebrews 13:5 - “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

He loves us so much that He will ALWAYS be with us, He will NEVER leave us!   Why?
Because He has work to do in us, making us new, creating us in His image.  Isn't that exciting?  That gives me such peace!

But wait; we as believers have a responsibility as well.   We must be willing to receive Him through the power of the Holy Spirit and be willing to move and be changed.  We must have complete faith in Him, we must acknowledge Him, we must be obedient toward Him, we must heed His voice,  we must strive to live as He lived; and most important of all, we must love ourselves and others just as He loved.   Is it easy? No.   Does the change happen instantly within us? No.   But we must press on, we must persevere, and we must lean on Him for guidance, strength, wisdom and understanding.

The question is, whom will you serve?  Are you willing to separate yourself from everything that stops the Holy Spirit from working in you?  Are you willing to be led by the Holy Spirit in you? ...to take the time to listen? ...to fight the good fight...and to stick with it and not give up?  Just trust Him, be confident in Him!

[Feel free to share your thoughts]

This is a really intelligent way to answer the question.

THE LIVING WORD
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
